Sire (dad) Supido x Dam (mum) Tale of Fun

Mrs Bigglesworth is one of the most striking mares at Equicom, she is known for her beautiful physique, expressive personality and her bond with Lady Brulee. Though her racing career was shorter than hoped due to injury. Mrs B shines brightest in her new role as a broodmare, watching over her foal with confidence (sometimes too much). Mrs B's story is one of heart, talent and the bright new beginnings that follow change.

Summary of her journey

  • Started her career with talent and promise

  • Suffered from a stress fracture

  • Retired from racing

  • Began new role as broodmare, where her OCD tendencies increased

  • Welcomed her first foal to Artorius, a 53kg colt

  • Currently in foal to Artorius again

Her story so far

Mrs Bigglesworth began her career with talent and promise, showing glimpses of the ability we always believed she had. She thrived in the calm environment of country racing and was quickly learning what was expected of her. She was placid, focused and easy to work with throughout her career. A classic professional.

Just as she was begining to show us what she was capable of her career was cut short. A stress fracture to her back meant a long period of rest and uncertainty lay ahead. With her wellbeing in mind a decision was made to not push her body and retire her from racing. Instead she was given the chance to start a new chapter as a broodmare which is a role she was perfectly suited for physically and mentally.

Over time Mrs B's personality blossomed in a way no one expected. The calm and quiet mare transformed into a sassy, stubborn and incredibly protective mother. She quickly became the dominate mare in the paddock by keeping order, setting the rules and making sure every horse knew exactly where they stood. Her OCD tendencies increased after racing which is managed through routine, understanding and thoughtful handling. Despite these behaviours she thrives with predictability and clear boundaries.

Mrs Bigglesworth welcomed her first foal a strong and athletic colt by Artorius. He is marked with a unique splotch on his forehead making him instantly recognisable. She is now enjoying being a mother (sometimes overprotective) and is currently in foal to Artorius again, showing healthy progression.
